White Lancer Ring
The Death Or Glory skull badge has been popular with motorcyclists for 60 years. What is not so well known is that it has been a British Regimental badge since 1759, | first used by the 17th Lancers (Duke of Cambridge’s Own), a cavalry regiment known for their bravery and nicknamed ‘The Death or Glory Boys’. |
In 1922 they were amalgamated with the 21st regiment and known as the 17th 21st Lancers. In 1993, another amalgamation took place and the Regiment is now called The Queen’s Royal Lancers. | Inspiration for the ring was taken from the cover of a 1920 issue of the 17th Lancers regimental magazine, The White Lancer. |
